She has worn some iconic outfits in her time, including her infamous Nineties cone bustier.
And even at 54, Madonna continues to push the fashion envelope.
The pop star was spotted wearing unusual sky-high Adidas platform boots and pantaloon trousers as she ran errands in New York City on Monday.

Madonna opted for an all-black ensemble for her outing, donning pantaloon-style knee-length trousers and a leather jacket over a satin top.
The Ray Of Light singer wore black stockings that, paired with the trousers, was reminiscent of the attire worn by young boys during Victorian times.
But her shoes were the piece de resistance: The black lace-up ankle boots sported white side paneling, as well as the brand's trademark white stripes on the heel.

Madonna shielded her eyes with black shades and scraped her blonde hair back into a messy ponytail.
She appeared to be wearing minimal makeup, save for a slick of rose-coloured lipstick.
The star looked to be taking care of some administrative business as she was seen carrying a stack of papers clipped together as well as a Blackberry phone, along with a massive leather bag slung over her shoulder.

Madonna took a trip to Malawi recently, visiting schools supported by her charitable foundation.
But the star, who has adopted two children from the African nation, came under fire from the President of Malawi, who painted her as an arrogant patroniser who now exploits her charity work for personal publicity.
She later retracted the statement, saying her office issued it without her knowledge.

Meanwhile, Madonna was recently announced as the world’s first billionaire female pop star after the most successful year of her three-decade career.
The 54-year-old has earned more than $300million (£200million) in the past 12 months, pushing her net worth above the $1billion (£650million) mark.
A string of concerts that saw her baring her bottom, flashing her breasts and posing with pistols attracted more than two million fans and grossed $305million (£200million), making it the most successful tour by any artist in 2012.
